WALKS
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE WALK?
Each day will have a framework including the following
Below are some examples of themes we might bring:
Community: Games, sharing, story telling, songs, group dynamics
Practical skills: Fire making, wood collecting, tarp set ups, map reading
Nature connection: Foraging, bird language, nature games, sensory meditations
Personal tracking: Journaling, meditation, sit spots, discussion, exploring fear, poetry
Ritual, ceremony and space for the sacred
- Up to 4 hours of walking, where the pace is dependent on the group.
- Plenty of time for practical needs - cooking, fire making, setting up camp etc. This is an integral part of creating community and living outdoors.
- Up to 4 hours a day of shared learning space, sometimes we will hold this, and other times it will be open to the group.
- We will always hold one night as a solo night. (Let us know if this is something you are worried about, and we will find a safe and comfortable way for you to take part.)
